Many marketers use the same guarantee everyone else uses. You’ve probably seen the same guarantee over and over again:
You Have A 30-Day Money Back Guarantee!
While having a guarantee is advisable and gives the chance for the customer to back out of the sale (and boost your conversions), they typical 30-day guarantee is starting to lose its effectiveness as a sales tool.
Here are some ideas you can use to spruce up your guarantee in your marketing. You have to stand out as much as possible if you’re going to compete and these will allow you to stick out.
If You’re Not Satisfied I’ll Pay You $5!
What you can do here is offer the typical money-back guarantee, but offer to pay the customer a certain amount of money over the price of the product.
This can improve your conversions since customers will think to themselves, ” If they are offering such a generous guarantee, then their product most be excellent!”
But better than that you can offer a:
200% Money Back Guarantee!
This is where you can offer to refund not only the purchase price but also pay the customer the price just for trying out the product. This can really boost your conversions for the same reason as above.
But the difference is you’re offering to double their money if they are not satisfied. This can really skyrocket your conversions and take your business to the next level!
Now in case you’re wondering if you’re going to attract a lot of “Freeloaders” who will purchase and automatically refund, you are correct. But 9 times out of 10 the increase in sales you will get as a result of this aggressive guarantee could compensate for the number of refund requests.
So there are several guarantee ideas you can use for your marketing. If you’re using the typical 30-day money-back guarantee, you should test one of these and see if it boosts your conversions.

Most marketers really mess this part up.
They go through the trouble building a list, creating a product, and driving traffic. Yet they fail to realize the importance of following up with your list after people have opted in.
Believe it or not (depending on your market and product) most of your sales are going to come through your follow-up emails.
Why?
Because most people aren’t going to buy from you right away.
It has been said that people have to be exposed to your marketing message at least 7 times before they buy from you. In offline marketing this follow-up was usually performed by simple phone calls and postcards.
But online this is performed with email marketing.
To do this properly, you have to program in at least 7-10 emails that will be sent every 1-2 days after people opt into your list. The emails should resell the customer on the benefits of your product and why they should buy.
In other words, you’re basically restating the sales pitch they saw the first time, but didn’t buy from. But this time you are slowly feeding it to them through your email autoresponder series.
Yet most marketers do not pay attention to this aspect of marketing. They concentrate on testing and tweaking the sales letter and offer.
Yet the real gold is in having a killer email autoresponder series that works on autopilot for you–delivering your marketing message again and again to them.
Best part: it doesn’t even matter if they open the email. If they see your name and subject line in their inbox, you will stay in your prospects conscience and when they ARE ready to buy, they will open that email and go to your sales page.
So before you launch your next product, don’t skimp on the email autoresponder series. Believe it or not, this will probably result in most of your sales.
Because the key is in the follow-up.

One thing most marketers do not do very often is test their headlines. Most do not know how to do it or are too busy trying to create their product that they don’t think about it.
It is no secret that the headline is the most important piece of copy on your website. And just changing a single word in your headline could raise or lower response.
And I’m not talking about just 1 percent or so. I’m talking about upwards of a 300 percent increase in sales.
Just by changing the headline!
The thing is you’re not going to be able to choose the winning headline from a list of 10 headlines you might have written. The best marketers in the world cannot predict what headline is going to pull better.
That’s why you need to test at least 2 headlines in a simple split-test, or 3-4 or more in a multivariate test.
So how do you go about this?
Thankfully Google Analytics mades this extremely easy. They have a tool called Google Website Optimizer that allows you to run simple split tests or more complicated multivariate testing.
And the best part: It’s Free!
So what you need to do is write at least 25 headlines and choose 3-4 headlines you want to test.
Why write 25 headlines? Because after 4-5 headlines you’ll start to “warm up” and you’ll start to write better and better headlines. Until you write a couple that are really good.
If you’re going to get a nominal amount of traffic, just split test 2 headlines. But if you’re getting a LOT of traffic, you can do a multivariate test where you’re testing 3 or more headlines.
This is necessary as you need enough conversions to declare a winner, and the more variables you have, the more conversions you need to get statistically significant results.
You can go here to access Google’s Website Optimizer: http://www.google.com/websiteoptimizer. This extra small amount of effort could lead to better conversions and more money in your pocket.

I am sure you’re on other marketers’ email lists that pitch products that promise the following:
“Make $3253.33 Per Day By Pushing A Button!”
“How To Make An Easy $35,343/Month With No Work!”
How To Rake In $342/Day While You Sleep On Autopilot!”
These are considered to be “shiny objects” – the next new system, tweak, or loophole that promise riches without any work or effort.
The truth is a REAL internet marketing business that is going to reward your family for years to come requires effort and time. And it isn’t a “get rich quick” solution.
But the best part is the effort it takes to create an internet marketing business is nothing compared to the effort required to start a physical brick-and-mortar business. You can get started in several month with very little money relative to a brick and mortar business.
But one thing it is NOT is a business where you get up and suddenly find money in your bank account.
Very often beginner marketers are tempted by these “shiny objects” thanks to the latest product launch. They are constantly looking for that next “big thing” that’s going to shovel cash into their bank account.
One thing I will implore you to do is to choose a course regarding how to start an internet business and stick with it. You’ll be tempted by all kinds of “shiny objects” upon your internet marketing journey., but if you stay the course and resist, you will be rewarded.
Of course, there are courses and products out there that teach critical internet marketing principles that do bring value. These can shortcut your learning curve–as if you went to school to learn a trade.
I’m talking about “magic boxes” that promise to bring instant riches.
So when you see these “shiny objects” run, don’t walk. Stay away from get rich quick schemes that promise the world without any work on your part. Your wallet will thank you.

Google Adwords is one of the best ways to get traffic to your site. The traffic that comes from Google Adwords can be very valuable, since these people clicked on an ad to get to your site.
There are a lot of ways to increase the number of people who click on your ads. This blog post lists 3 you can start testing right away in order to boost traffic to your site and make you more money.
1) End the headline with a question mark.
For example if you have a headline called “Business Proposal Template”, you can easily modify that to say, “Business Proposal Template?” This induces curiosity in the visitor since it embeds a question in their mind and they want to see if it is answered.
This also makes your ad stand out more since a very small amount of people will actually use a question mark in the headline of their ad.
2) Use the “secrets most people will NEVER know” line in your ad.
If you were a golfer and you came across a headline that said, “Discover Golfing Secrets Most Golfers Will NEVER Know”, wouldn’t you want to find out?
This has been tested time and time again to outpull most ads, mainly because it plays on the fact that you’re about ready to get an advantage over other golfers. That you’re going to have several secrets that you only know.
That’s why the word “secret” is used time and time again in marketing. Secrets are irresistible because it plays on the fact that someone knows information that you don’t. And we as humans are always curious to learn “secrets” so we can be a part of the “club” that knows the secrets.
So use some variation of this line in the body of your Adwords ad. It could boost your clicks big time.
3) Have an intriguing domain name.
Google allows you 3 lines of text for Adwords, but nothing stops you from creating a better domain that urges people to click on your ad. The display URL is another line of copy you can utilize with effectiveness.
So what URL is more apt to be clicked on: www.acme.com or www.LoseFatRightNow.com?
The only thing is your display URL and destination URL has to be the same. So if you’re sending traffic to a seperate landing page, try to come up with a good domain name that’ll attract more clicks.
So next time you create your next Adwords campaign, test these tweaks out. This could definitely help you conquer Google Adwords.
